Soo-jung went to look for news about her old runaway boss and she was told to go to a place where she might see him.  She saw him and she chased him around the market but lost him.  She went back home unsuccessful with her mission for that day.

Jae-min asked In-wook for a drink after work, and there they continued with their manly bickering.  Young-joo came in and In-wook asked to leave and left them alone.

In-wook arrived home to witness her mother flirting with her boyfriend to his disappointment.  Her mother grabbed a soju bottle, wept and declared how she hated herself because she has a great son and she sucked up as a mother.

In-wook looked for an apartment which was also the room next to where Soo-jung and Mi-hee lived.

Soo-jung went to look for Jae-min and was luckily found by Jae-min’s brother and walked her through his office.   She asked him to help her get a job but he refused.  She left her contact # on a piece of paper  just in case, and left but she forgot her bag so she got back to the room and saw him about to throw her contact no.

While Jae-min tended to his wound, he remembered Soo-jung and suddenly felt the urge to help her.  He called and was answered by Mi-hee who told him not to call that number anymore.

At home Soo-jung was sad why Mi-hee didn’t tell her about the call from Jae-min.  Then they were intruded by Soo-jung’s brother with a couple of gangsters.  Soo-jung was forced to work at a night club because her lazy and dumb brother helped a girl working at the night club escaped, so she will be acting as a replacement.

Meanwhile Young-joo stalked and waited for In-wook, but he just disregarded her.  While they were talking about what to do in their relationship, they witnessed his mother bullied by her lover.  In-wook punched the man but her mother begged him to stop.  Later that night, he told his mother he’s moving out of the house.

When Young-joo arrived home, she saw Jae-min waiting outside.  She said sorry and told him she’s tired and wanted to rest.   She went to take a shower and as he was leaving, he heard her cry.  He opened the door and she told him that she really loved In-wook.

In-wook moved in to the room next to Soo-jung’s and Mi-hee.  Mi-hee did a friendly neighbor visit and invited him to visit the club where they were working.

Wanting to hide herself when she saw In-wook with Mi-hee, she got another surprise when Jae-min came out of nowhere.

Jae-min and In-wook engaged in another trash talk and was reprimanded by the club owner to do it inside but the two didn’t mind him.  Jae-min insinuated how he can’t take care of a woman as In-wook retorted him to be arrogant not in front of him but in front of his father.   When the bald club owner cut them in their conversation, Jae-min punched him and they were left no choice but to exchange fist fight with the bald-wrestler looking man to the cuties disadvantage.

While Soo-jung was walking she got dragged by Jae-min and brought him to a store to buy her a coat and back at the night club, Soo-jung’s brother and Mi-hee have to face the gangster’s inquisition.

When Soo-jung got home, Mi-hee was not yet around, she was offered by In-wook to his room while she waited for her.   When Soo-jung dozed off, he carried her to his bed and went to visit her mother who was as bruised as he was.

When Soo-jung woke up she tidied his place and saw a picture of him and Young-joo.   Mi-hee lectured her to use her head and luck to get her out of the slum while they were having a breakfast.

While In-wook delivered a presentation, Jae-min’s brother pointed out that the competitor’s evaluation should be considered as well, and when he asked Jae-min of what he thought about it, he didn’t give a useful answer.  When he got inside his office, the secretary presented the report about Soo-jung’s life and his daily itinerary.

Before they arrived to the their engagement dinner, Jae-min and Young-joo talked inside the car and he pointed out that it’s okay to lead their own lives even if they are married but if she wants to cancel the wedding, he would oblige.

In the family dinner, Young-joo called off the wedding to Jae-min’s family’s fury.  And of course he was scolded by his father.

Jae-min and his friends went to the night club, and he asked for Lee Soo-jung to accommodate them.  With a red face and wounded lips she was forced to host Jae-min and his friends.  He gave her his calling card and left her crying in self-pity again.

Young-joo again waited for In-wook to arrive, when he came approaching she was surprised to see Soo-jung behind who asked him to drink for helping her the other night.

While drinking, Soo-jung complained how life has been unfair and her desire to get out of being poor so she won’t suffer anymore.  She narrated her sorry life and jokingly admitted to him that she thought he was the rich man in Bali which made him smile.  Then she cried so hard beside him.

Evil and smelly Cho Sang-bae went to visit Jae-min in his office and offered him a tortoise business.  He learned how Sang-bae got into shipping trouble and how he felt sorry to Soo-jung for running out with her money.

Soo-jung was being convinced by her brother to come to work because he’s worried of what will happen if she will not come to work.  Annoyed and fed up with her brother, she took Jae-min’s calling card and informed that she will be coming over.

Jae-min in his playboy mood joyously prepared his flat and then the doorbell rang and he opened the door to see Soo-jung standing there.

Episode 1 and 2

Jung Jae-min groped sleepily to answer his ringing phone and headed to a jewelry store to meet his fiancée, Choi Young-joo and his mother.  His mother left for another appointment and was left alone with her, but parted ways as well after showing off an arranged marriage casual meet up to please the elders’ play.

At a meeting Jae-min showed disinterest drawing on a face on a newspaper as the CEO fretted on funding a useless soap opera production and other business sounding problems.

Young-joo went to Indonesia for a supposed business trip and then settled in the hotel.  She went to visit Kang In-wook and when she entered his place, she slapped him.  In-wook was her ex-boyfriend but she has to break up with him because of an arranged marriage with Jae-min.  He learned of her engagement, he volunteered to be transferred to the office branch in Indonesia.

When she opened her eyes the next morning, she saw breakfast prepared and she argued with him when she saw him leaving for work.  He burst out his angst on her but then again he gave in and they acquiesced to making the most out of her short visit there.

When she didn’t answer his phone calls at the hotel Jae-min decided to follow her to Bali, Indonesia and the secret ex-lovers were put on an awkward position when he came unannounced.  She introduced In-wook as her friend, and Jae-min invited him over for a dinner.

During dinner we learned that In-wook used to work in the main office for planning department and moved to Indonesia 3 months ago.  Jae-min joked if he moved there because of a broken heart.  He asked further personal questions, and then he got a call and excused himself to take it.  Jae-min asked his secretary to gather information about Kang In-wook.  Yung-joo apologized for the questioning marathon, and when Jae-min got back, In-wook excused himself and thanked him for the dinner and left.

Frustrated on meeting-my-ex-gf’s-rich-chaebol-heir-dinner, he vented it out on a concrete just as he saw a bubbly Korean woman, Lee Soo-jung, with foreign people trying to make fun of her.  While waiting in the taxi bay, Soo-jung made a small talk with him and asked him if it’s okay if she rode the taxi with him.  But he grew tired of her being chatty and kicked her out of the cab.

Lee Soo-jung was excited when they were called to facilitate the city tour of a rich heir.  When she met them up, she was surprised to see In-wook there and apologized for offering the night club tour last night to Jae-min’s amusement smile.  When all were settled they proceed to the trip that would intertwine their lives from then on.

On their way, Soo-jung incessantly talked about Bali to the love-entangled-trio until Young-joo complained that the tour guide was too loud.

Soo-jung and the trio continued their Bali Tour.  Jae-min was already sensing something weird between Young-joo and In-wook.  When Yung-joo threw a tantrum of going back to the hotel, In-wook asked her to stay and she complied to Jae-min’s annoyance.

After ranting on how much food she ordered, Jae-min stepped out and saw Soo-jung eating her lunch and trying to fix her shoe.  He approached her and they engaged in a talk.  She asked him if the quiet one was the rich heir, and Jae-min agreed to her assumption. He asked her that they should have some fun and so they drink.

Jae-min and Soo-jung got drunk to their heart’s content, when Young-joo got bored she asked In-wook to help her get back to the hotel, and when they did, Jae-min threw a fit and get into a fight with In-wook.

Soo-jung dragged Jae-min back to the hotel, and when she was about to leave, he asked her to stay for the night.  She asked him how much he can pay, and he threw money at her and asked her to leave.  So the day ended Jae-min alone, In-wook being drunk, Young-joo trying to call In-wook and Soo-jung feeling pity at herself.

When drunk In-wook got home, he saw the car they used earlier parked and overheard Soo-jung crying and talking with someone over the phone.  They say each other when she picked up her dried clothes, and he went inside his room.  He finally answered Young-joo’s call and she told him she loves him and she will go back to Seoul that day.

Soo-jung’s evil boss took her saving’s book and ran off with her money leaving her problems with gangsters due to business debts also left by her con boss.

Back in Seoul Jae-min was scolded by his father and went to meet up for lunch with Young-joo, and their mothers.  The two moms boasted of how they rich they were.   Both of them looked amusing and annoying at the same time.  Of course they excused themselves and left to give time for the forced lovers to try and kindle their forced engagement.  She bargained with him to call of the wedding, but he refused and explained that it’s not because he’s afraid of his father but that he’s beginning to like her.

Soo-jung woke up while on a flight back to Seoul and saw In-wook sitting beside him.  He handed her a jacket when they arrived at the airport for a cover her up on the freezing winter.

In-wook arrived at their house but left upon realizing that his mother was with her lover.  Soo-jung reunited with her friend Mi-hee and asked her if she can stay with her.

Lee Soo-jung went to Jae-min’s company, but he was busy playing in his computer so he didn’t pay attention and she was forced to leave the company premises.

He went to a meeting and was surprised when he saw In-wook stepped in the room.  He approached his elder brother and asked him to take In-wook as he didn’t need him in his team, but elder brother perceived otherwise.

SYNOPSIS

A rich-man-poor-woman love story between a pompous department store CEO and a reserved stunt woman. When Kim Joo Won needed his cousin-celebrity’s approval to extend his contract for his department store image, he was asked to deal with a woman Oska dated.  He then mistook Gil Ra Im acting as a double for the actress he was looking.  Confused and denying he would fall for a stunt woman, Kim Joo Won searched for answers, but then eventually sank deeper as series of incidents made them even closer.

With a mother-who-doesn’t-want-the-girl-her-son-is-dating conflict and a haunting past that will connect Gil Ra Im and Kim Joo Won, this is a drama that will make you wish you could relive the first time you ever fell in love.

Secret Garden Episode 1:
EPISODE 1
The drama opened up showing the beautiful façade and scenic location of where our lead actor lives, and as he stopped by his cousin Oska’s early morning womanizing, Kim Joo Won had his “presenting-our-rich-distant-chaebol” introduction by Oska.  He then headed to his “rich-girl-set-up-date” by her mom with Yoon Seul, but being his high and mighty self seems like anyone can’t be match for him.

Yoon Seul appeased himself and went for an afternoon relaxation at LOEL department store VIP lounge.  While they are mumbling girly nothingness, Gil Ra Im in her rugged clothing and tattoo entered the place and annoyed the two ladies.  She confronted  Ah Young, the employee and also Ra Im’s friend attending the guest and demanded her to leave and get her  ID.  When the two girls went outside, Yoon Seul’s friend’s bag was snatched and was witnessed by Ra Im, having a good heart he chased the bad guy and showed her killer action moves as she made the guys look funny.  She got the bag and gave Yoon Seul a tough woman lesson after she refused to give the name tag of her friend.

We then see what Ra Im does for a living, a hardworking-kick-ass-stunt-woman for weak actresses who happened to be the girl Oska had  that early morn playing around – Chae Rin.

On the other hand, we also see how cold and cutely cynical Joo Won is managing the department store while his staff who are older than him whined about him just going to work twice a week.

Director Park:  We had a proposal to decide for the Autumn Sale.Kim Joo Won:   Can I sit down first?

Director Park:  The other stuff needs to know your decision.  Sorry for the impatience.

Kim Joo Won:  If it’s urgent, why didn’t you authorize it?  Can you still not copy my signature?

Director Park:  That’s just a rumor.  They thought of that because they didn’t see you at work often.

Kim Joo Won:  I do come out on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Director Park:  You also have to come the rest of the week.

Kim Joo Won:  I don’t want to because there’s a lot of traffic.

**Sat down and read the title page of the proposal**

Kim Joo Won:  Is this the best you can do?  Are you sure?

Staff:  We’re not entirely sure.  Which part don’t you like specifically?

Kim Joo Won:  How will I know, I’ve only seen the title.  If it’s not the best, and you’re not certain, then you should redo it.

<*giggles straightforward and distant Joo Won, you got me with your charming cold exterior.>

Looks like high-and-mighty runs in the blood as Oska complained with his manager on the progress of his music video project.  His manager ranted how his behavior sometimes is hard to deal with, and that’s why it’s hard to finalize his projects.  He went out for a drink with Joo Won and discussed his contract renewal as a model of LOEL to the former’s annoyance because Joo Won won’t give more money.  As Oska was going out he heard a young lounge singer and was mesmerized by him ignoring Chae Rin’s phone calls which made the latter so furious about him.

Ra Im and Chae Rin did a practice drill and the girls had an accident causing a mini-wound on the actress’ thumb and a deep cut on Ra Im’s arm.  This upset the bad tempered movie director throwing harsh words at Ra Im, and on came the director of Action school Im Jong Soo and rescue our damsel in distress by declaring his staff to leave immediately as they can’t work with people with goodness deficiency.

Oska phoned Joo Won to deal with Chae Rin as she is blackmailing him of scandal pictures she will release to the press.  Uncaring Joo Won just advised him to let out of his pictures as well, so left with no choice he baited his contract to make him work on wiping Chae Rin’s trace on him.

So Joo Won went to Chae Rin’s filming site and asked someone to point out who she was.  Donning the same clothes as Chae Rin, the movie crew pointed out Ra Im who was at that time begging the director for her to continue what she started.  Joo Won asked her if she knows Oska, and as our Ra Im has a crush on him and his fan, she said yes, and agreed to meet him even if she wondered why he would ask for her when they only met a very long time ago.

Joo Won has a fear on riding an elevator so he had to take the stairs after making fool of him defending his sparkling track suit.   Settled in the hotel room Ra Im remembered her first encounter with Oska when she played double for Kim Sun Ah, and then Joo Won joined her running out of his breath.
Kim Joo Won:  Will you be okay hanging out with me?Gil Ra Im:  I’m okay since I’m always around with men.

Kim Joo Won: (choked while drinking water) *giggles You seem straightforward and charmingly cute.  Can I ask you how much money you usually do if you meet with a top star like Oska?

Gil Ra Im:  I don’t get more on a top star status.  If the location is local province or outdoors I will get more.

Kim Joo Won:  outdoors?

Gil Ra Im:  Rooftops, bamboo groves… those places are trendy right now.

Kim Joo Won:  Bamboo groves? (amused at how his brother can go that far)

Gil Ra Im:  I get more for cars since it’s difficult.  *wink

Kim Joo Won:  It must be really hard and out of space but men like it right?

Gil Ra Im:  You’re right!  Men like the speed and action.

<so here’s when I first fell in love with Ra Im’s candidness>

Ra Im realized that he mistook her for Park Chae Rin so they went back to the film location while she drove super fast scaring our cute prince to a hilt.  He located Chae Rin who was in her I’m-crying-because-Oska-fooled-me conference and stopped her right there and then to avoid the damage she might cause his brother.  On his way out he saw Ra Im on as she practices fight scenes, and there start the connection with her.He waited for her after the shoot wrapped up and learned what her true job was.  Annoyed when she was asked if she was feeling well, she made her first kick to him in his anger and confusion on why the woman seems not to be bothered on his presence, but he went soft when he noticed blood dripping to where she was walking.  He then forced her to go to the hospital, and even there Ra Im was still throwing a fit.

Gil Ra Im:  (walking away) I said I’m okay

Kim Joo Won:  If you’re okay then why are you shaking?  Is it because this is the first time you are with a handsome man?  Perhaps you might misunderstand, this is what high class people do.  It’s a good deed.  I was raised this way, so even if you are shaking to death around me, bear with it!

<way to go Joo Won oppa! your antics is growing on me!>

He swept Ra Im of her feet and settled her to the hospital.  For a guy who gets easily bored, he patiently watch her sleep, staring and puzzled on why her face looks troubled why she sleeps.

Then Director Jong Soo came rushing after an almost rude telephone conversation with Joo Won which was cut by his doctor.  Ra Im tried standing to leave the hospital but due to weakness she almost fell down if not for Joo Won’s quick arms.  She was then carried by the director, and I love how our main hero expressed his subconscious jealousy… “She moves from one arm to another.”

Outside the building the Director asked Ra Im to take care of herself and take a taxi, and she assured him that she will be okay and the medicines have worked already.  When Jong Soo left, Ra Im start walking home and there came Joo Won pestering her again on why she didn’t take the taxi and insisted on taking her home if she doesn’t have money.

Then enter Oska…

Might as well blog these K-Dramas who stayed with me when I’m sad, flirty, happy and in love…  Here’s a taste of feel-good Korean Romantic dramas, you might want to watch with your friends, partners,  and soon to be “future” person… ^_^ = my personal favorite

♥ Flower Boy Ramyun Shop (2011) – The light, feel-good and fast-paced vibe sent me wanting for more, and ended up being satisfied as each episode ends.  Without trying that much the characters grew on me and Cha Chi Soo tied with Dokko Jin this year for my favorite male leads.  One of the best for 2011, it swept me off my feet the way Prince Charming could have never done it to me.  Charming and full of romantic bliss plus an adorable Second Lead as an extra perk, you’re a descendant of Lord Voldemort if you fail to appreciate it.

♥ The Princess’ Man (2011)A period drama taking the Romeo and Juliet romance background.  With one of the vilest villain my eyes has set upon on television.  Nonetheless, for a not so sageuk fan like me it stirred emotions and glue-like substance to make me stay in touch with it and finishing it till the end.  Marvelously done music and editing and with richly personified characters, this is a drama worth of a red carpet recognition.  (10/10/10)

♥Scent of a Woman (2011) - I won’t forget Yeon-jae and Ji-wook’s love story.  Theirs is full of passion, trust and commitment to love each other whatever the future holds.  To date this is my favorite Korean drama ever and Yeon-jae and Ji-wook’s lovestory will always be special in my heart.  A love tale that has made me cried big time, but still made me feel hopeful after the tears.  Scent of a Woman is so life and love affirming that it affected me in a way that it made me get so serious with making my own bucket list.  If a newbie will ask me what I can recommend for a first time watcher, without hesitation, I will certainly recommend this drama.

♥You’ve Fallen for me aka Heartstrings (2011) - I would recommend this to anyone suffering extreme heartache to trigger their ability to love again.  This is refreshingly sweet and the kind of drama you’ll watch and never get tired of it..  Oozing with sweet moments and a lead actor who knew what buttons to tickle and make you filled of heart flutters.  A little lapses and a sort of rushed ending but Lee Shin made up for all those little things it was missing.

♥Myungwol the Spy (2011)The sort-of-chaos that happened during the airing of this drama didn’t stop me from being immersed on the characters and the funny, exciting. full of twist, and undeniably pretty story. I became interested with Eric because of his character here, and when I check on his other dramas, the man sure can act and is really hot. Since rom-com dramas are everywhere in the kimchidrama land, it’s hard to generate a love story of a man and a woman that you haven’t seen, heard or read before, true there may have been love stories about spies, but the crisp and outlandish of Myungwol took me by surprise, and I just love surprises.

♥City Hunter (2011) – I’m very fond of the lead couple after watching them in their respective Kdramas and I’ve loved them even more in this drama.  Very charming display of their characters. A story of revenge and realizing that there’s more to life than revenge.  It’s hard not to fall for this drama because it hit all the elements you can ask for.  Superb directing, scriptwriting and acting.  I could not ask for more.  ^_^

♥Best Love aka The Greatest Love (2011) – I was so in love with this drama when it was airing.  As always Hong sisters got me with their lead couple bickering-turned-to-loving.  It’s full of heart flutters and bliss.  A story of a striving-to-remain-in-the-Korean-showbizness woman and a top-Korean-actor.  It’s one of my favorites for 2011.  It might make you skip work if you watch it during work days so better watch it on a weekend.  It’s also the first time I fell in love to the second male lead almost at the same level as the first male lead.   I don’t know what kind of water Hong sisters drink for them to come up with really good love stories.  Dokko Jin entered my lead man Hall of Fame list and Pil-joo joined Geol-ah to my “really-they-deserved-the-girl” list.  This is something you will dream of when you sleep and a very good reason for you to bargain with time to speed up so that the day of its airing can happen.  Certified on Abby’s must-watch list. Full of ahhs and ohhs, this is one of the best rom-com dramas I’ve watched so far.  Consider you’re forewarned.

♥Baby Faced Beauty (2011) – it’s light, refreshing and full of hope and dreams.  The character development will slowly and surely capture you.  A story of a 34-year old woman who has to set aside her dream of being a designer to take the role of the breadwinner in the family.  She was given an opportunity to have her dream but she has to pretend she’s 9 years younger.  It may be slow moving but you will end up loving the story.

♥49 Days (2011)I found the premise intriguing as it involves fantasy intervention… it slowly picked up in my system but having a soft spot for I’m-here-for-you-all-along-why-can’t-you-notice-me kind of love, it won me over.  Neat and prettily written story with twists and gasps, and will be on my top 3 dramas for 2011.

♥Dream High (2011)Breezy, glee-like-maybe-even-better, and lead actors that will put you most of the time in the land of “i want to be with you”… I say this is a dark horse this year and the musical bearing sets it apart from the rest of the dramas this season.

♥My Princess (2011) – one of my favorite behind-bickering-they-love-each-other couple.  The only Song Seong Heon drama that I like.  Very appealing and enticing.  Kim Tae Hee proved she can do the light and classy… a must watch, eye-candy and worth recommending.  ^_^

♥ Secret Garden (2010) – Hyun Bin + Ha Ji Won = I’m a happy camper?  The drama woke up my inability of falling in love again with a fictional character Kim Joo Won.  Engaging and strong performance by the characters, amusing screenplay and a story that will linger and can work as a coping pill to boredom or heartbreak.  I had high expectations about this team up, and they did not fail me.  Sunny characters, a twist worth of de Maupassant, and an endearing-classic-my-mom-doesn’t-like-you-but-i-love-you love story.  Fresh and scintillating… worthy of being absent for a day… My top pick for 2010. ^_^

♥Queen of Reversals (2010) – Sweet and sent me to self-realizing for a day… Actually this drama got me because of Park Shi Hoo, didn’t read reviews about it which I normally do.  I’m just hopelessly in love with him so I just want to stare at his face even if I will not watch the story itself.  *giggles But I love how this drama turned out to be and there are lot of relationship ideas that were pointed out so prettily.  Hwang Tae Hee will be one of my favorite heroines.

♥ City Hall (2009)I’ve watched this drama after I came across Dokko Jin, and the politics-based love story blew me away.  The closing scene was shot so perfectly I promised myself I will vow to be a single if I won’t get that kind of romantic scene for a wedding proposal.

♥ You’re Beautiful (2009) – Jang Geun Seok still lingers in my dreams because of this drama. Hong sisters have done a superb job crafting this drama.  One of the few dramas who killed me with so much anticipation. Great chemistry between our favorite K-band characters. After Jang geun Seok swept me off my feet here I hunted all his Korean movies and watched it. Amazingly sweet and with lots of love vibes. Fast paced, beautifully crafted, sweet moments at it’s best. ^_^

♥ My GF is a Gumiho (2010)Being a self-confessed fan of the Hong sisters, I really enjoyed the supernatural-mythical-romantic elements in this drama.  One of the most remembered couple I guess in the Kdramaland. I was already a Sin Min Ah fan even before and her light and natural take on her character made me love her even more.  Beautiful, never a dull moment and will always be on anyone’s top favorites. Incorporating folklore and romance on its best… nicely done, great acting, witty screen play, and definitely on my top 3 K-Drama of 2010. ^_^

♥Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010)Bromance incorporating a touch of traditional Korean history and way of living made the series riveting… such charming characters and will leave butterflies in your tummy.   The person you will love after your first love is like Sungkyunkwan for me.  I can’t help but love this drama each episode I was watching.  It was so addictive and full of love, and I was even surprised to have felt that way considering that it was a fusion-sageuk drama.  Having F4 like drama aired in the past few years, I say SKKS in its own right deserved so much applause.  Our F4 scholars made me so in love for a while and even now I still am in love with Geol Ah.  Definitely this has a spot on top Korean dramas on Abby-land.

♥ Personal Preference (2010) - Starred by my favorite actress and another one-sided love of mine, I could not ask for more. *giggles There were lots of bright tones here which I can say compensated to some dry moments and knots that were loosely conspicuous in a kdrama addict’s eye. The doting scenes melted me and made me craved for more so some scenes that are really unnecessary were left forgotten.  Your typical I’m-here-to-protect-you-love-story but with a twist.  ^_^

♥ Prosecutor Princess (2010) – Surprisingly sweet, comforting and a lead actor to drool and you can use as a calming pill.  More than safe storyline and will get you hooked when you least expected it.  Intricately woven narrative with great lines and superbly layered sequence build up plus effectively personified characters made me swoon over this drama. The “confrontation-kiss-scene” brought me to the edge of ever after and had me promised myself I will vow to be a single if it’s not Park Shi Hoo that I’m gonna marry with.. *giggles This is alluring and classic, a great watch and will live up to your expectation.

♥ Mischievous/Playful Kiss (2010) – I’ve seen how Japan and Taiwanese’ did their live adaptation so there’s always the comparison, I still prefer Taiwan’s version though, but this is quirky, lovely and you’ll have so many ways to love it.

♥ Iris (2009) – Since it was big budgeted and composed of top stars in Korea, it should definitely be worth watching… riveting, fast paced and top notch… But I’ve watched lots of spy dramas so it didn’t at all affect me.

♥ Boys Before Flowers (2009) – When it was aired in Korea, it was like the anticipation of Harry Potter book 7 for me, I’m so excited of Wednesdays because I get to watch it. Teen romance bliss at it’s best. ^_^

♥ Beethoven Virus (2009) - Great acting, scriptwriting and directing… It will slowly creep its way to you, and without you realizing it you are deeply immersed in each character’s life.

♥Coffee Prince (2007)Coffee Prince cemented my growing fondness towards Yoon Eun Hye.  *giggles  I liked her in Goong, and I like her even more here.  The music was so refreshing.  How the love grew between the lead characters was simply laid and yet so affecting and definitive.  If you are currently having a bitter heart because of a failed relationship it can surely disarm you and walk you through appreciating love again.  Addictive and will make you believe in love if you are unable to do so… ^_^

♥ Shining Inheritance (2010) –  I rarely watch mellow drama but there was something engaging in this modern-day-Cinderella-meets-spoiled-prince-romantic-interlude.  Seeing Han Hyo Joo in a different light was a surprise because I was not happy when I first saw her in Spring Waltz.  If not for the brilliant portrayal of the villain step mom here and how Eun-sung struggled and defeated the odds, the story will really not go beyond plain to interesting.  It took a while for me to fall in love, but I did eventually. A love story that builds up nicely.

♥ Love story in Harvard – Kim Rae Won is an actor that can easily sink in to any character he takes, and until now he still amuses me how he does that.  He’s so feel good and engaging to look at, and he effectively displayed that in LSIH.  There are a lot of heart-fluttering scenes which KRW nailed superbly.  I’m a sucker for finding-a-lost-love-and-realizing-the-love-is-still-there-drama so regardless of minimal inconsistencies and out of the context scenes, the fluidity and realistic appeal of the romantic elements were enough for me to put this on my favorite list.

♥ Goong (Princess Hours) – Growing love was really sweet in this drama and would make you remember your first love.   Great Music, great lines.  The build up of love is heart felt and lingering.  ^_^

♥ A Love To Kill – Classic directing and editing, decent conflict didn’t make the drama so dragging. Rain at his best.  ^_^

♥ Full House – Light and carefree. Cute couple fights and the famous 3 bear song made me smile a lot while watching it.  The sweet and simple storyline made tit a runaway hit.  ^_^

♥ Autumn Tale -  A very sad moving love story.  If serendipity has a twin evil brother, it was lurking the whole time in the story..  A few sweet moments, and a drama that is anti-ever-after.   The twist and simplicity of the story was very heartwarming. Heart-tugging storyline and will definitely linger in your heart.A lot of people cried over this KDrama. The twist and simplicity of the story was very heartwarming. Heart-tugging storyline and will definitely linger in your heart.

♥ What happened in Bali -  This is my favorite drama ending. There are only a few kdramas with decent endings, and if I’m strange because I love the ending of the ill-fated love triangle that this love interlude presented, I don’t care! *giggles At least they have provided a closure and a very strong closure for that matter.  Realistic and smokin’ hot.   Stirring and stimulating. Not a happily ever after drama, but definitely high grade scriptwriting and directing. Realistic and sensational. ^_^

♥ Love Marriage –   I was kinda hesitant when I first took my DVD copy of this drama to watch.  When I look at the lead couple it felt like they were not in sync physically.  There’s nothing spectacular about the story itself and is very laid back, and that’s maybe the reason why I fell for it.   Snappy scriptwriting, spirited lead actors and adorable love story.

♥ 1% of anything – A lovestory between a sweet middle school teacher and a hot tempered rich man. Fun, refreshing and one of the reason why Kang Dong Won is in my Korean Prince list.  ^_^

♥ Which Star did you come from – Poignant twist in the story can go either way depending on how you would want to take it. Neat storyline, but sometimes slow moving.  Light, eye-pleasing and another Kim Rae Won hit for me.

♥ Delightful Girl Chun Hyang - perky and bubbly… with lots of zest and romance…  Watched it after My Girl, and this sent me stalking Hong sisters from then on.

♥ Hanoi Bride – Lee Dong Wook is my favorite actor that’s why I watched it… quick, typical love story, somewhat great acting….

♥ Hello Miss – slow, sometimes entertaining, the only good thing here is Lee Dae Hee.

♥ La Dolce Vita – mature, splendid and realistic… marvelous acting and storyline…  If you have been induced by light rom-com dramas full of raining rose petals and couple bickering, this will be something new for your taste.

♥ My Lovely Samsoon -  I really think Hyun Bin was given by Heavenly Father to me, and until now I still have that illusion. *giggles He’s that actor whose gaze can make me so mesmerize and drool of what it feels like to be with him, in short I was meant for him, and it’s a one side love. Sam Soon is an addictive drama, subconsciously and in the real world. The writing and the weight of the story was justified by the endearing couple. It something which will nudge you of what you have experienced at some point sometime in your relationship.  Upbeat, mesmerizing, engaging and one of my favorites.  ^_^

♥ Fireworks – dreary storyline elevation… the only good thing to watch is the lead actor… tolerable and forgettable…

♥ Witch Yoo Hee – This was where I first noticed Jae Hee and his smooth smile. I have funny and sweet moments with this drama, but it’s just all that I guess. It was sort of more than an inch safe. Had it add more inflections and deleted unnnecessary scenes it would have been nicer.  Sometimes scattered and sometimes amusing.

♥ Stained Glass - typical, can be stirring at some point… sometimes spiritless… In between mediocre and above expectation I guess… Strikingly cute but not enough to make you remember it.

♥ Last Scandal – nice storyline, superb acting and chemistry between the lead actors, edifying and passionate.

♥ Save the Last Dance For MeA beautiful moving story of finding love and falling in love all over again to the same person.  It is my favorite Eugene drama.  At some point it was slow moving but it essentially helped the narrative of the drama.  This is like a love story taken out of your favorite harlequin novel but with a more pronounced lingering effect.  Deeply moving… fascinating characters… spell binding story…

I know it’s a bit late, but I was so busy so wasn’t able to properly post my review.

I thought BOF already made my year, but when I saw this drama, it really made me realize that it’s still a cool thing to love.

Perky and fast-paced storyline, well written script and fresh sweet moments at it’s best… The music is moving and tantalizing, and the actors did a great job of portraying their characters well, even if most of them are new.  I give credit to Jang Geun Seok for his superb portrayal less the mouth twitching habit though.  Beautifully entertaining… enchanting and superbly crafted Korean drama.

Seol Gong Chan – My Girl

Who can forget the famous rich hotel’s CEO’s grandson whom because of his love to the old man made an arrangement with a charming pretty girl to pretend as his long lost cousin.

Here is the turning point of oppa’s career I think. He’s most famous with his role in this drama.

Park Eun Woo – Hanoi Bride

Here Dong Wook oppa, played the role of a doctor who fell in love with a Vietnamese girl who has a sister who purely detest acknowledging their relationship.

He looks very hot here, and the depth of his acting is becoming visible in the drama.

Lee Tae Jo – Partner

The rebellious, playboy lawyer who defies his family and whose charming antics would definitely win any trial. His lawyer portrayal is very amusing and you can’t help but fall for him.

He will surely be a lawyer you would want to have should you commit a crime. Even if you’ll end up in jail, a lawyer as cutie as him would be worth it.

SYNOPSIS (from dramawiki)
Lee Soo-jung is a travel agent who is seeking her good luck in Bali after a harsh and unforgiving childhood. She meets Jae-min, Kang In-wook, and Young-joo in Bali, three seemingly perfect people entangled in a triangle of love. When Lee Soo-jung finds herself back in Seoul, her desire for success leads her to seek Jae-min for a job, unwittingly setting off a course of events that further complicate the love triangle.

What Happened in Bali is a drama that reveals the inner materialistic desires of people. It reflects upon the sometimes ugly (but truthful) side of man where nothing matters more than money.

YELLOW ROSE REVIEW

I know it’s weird but I love the ending of the drama. The extent of consuming ourselves when we love someone was greatly depicted and acted. This is where I fell in love with Jo In sung. The actors portrayed their persona very well. It’s a different kind of love story. A love story of deceit and pride.
Adults in relationship would understand the relationships presented in the drama.

YELLOW ROSE REVIEW

The reason why I like Kim Rae Won is because he can easily adapt to whatever his character. He can be cocky, funny, and smart. In this drama, he was the typical boy-next-door. The guy who protects his girl and will not let his love suffer.

The “fire and ice” scenes here are very nice. Whenever the couples fought, to say sorry, one would say “ice”, to forgive the other, she should say “fire”. Whenever the girl is upset, she needs to rub Rae Won’s head.

A lot of people can share the pain of this story. They were able to come up with a story without roses and romance, but treachery and pain.

I was so furious with Yi Na… I pity Young Chae… Their acting was very effective, but it was still Rae Won who stimulated into finishing this drama.

YELLOW ROSE REVIEW

Eugene is one of my favorite Korean actress. I have watched almost all her movies and dramas. What’s good about her is that she easily adapts to the character and do justice to it.

Memory loss has been one of the favorite twists in romance stories, and in this drama they were able to execute it without making me change another drama to watch.

It has a slow pacing, but the transitions are very strong. The screenplay was well written and well versed with emotions by the lead actors.

YELLOW ROSE REVIEW

Powerhouse couple Song Hye Kyo and Rain made this drama famous around Asia.

The story is a bit simple but because they portrayed their characters well, it brought out the refreshing, sassy vibe of the drama.

Their constant arguments, insensitivity and romantic moments are classic elements of dramas that will make you skip sleeping.

YELLOW ROSE RATING:

ACTING: 5 yellow roses
STORY: 5 yellow roses

This drama starred top Korean actors in their early years. From this drama you can see the depth of their acting abilities, and the promising career in the showbiz world.

A family-oriented drama that will make you appreciate your family even more. It will delve in your emotions and will surely make you cry.

I’m not really into crying drama stuff because I’m a cry baby but I can’t help but finish it. I watched it with my mom and we were like crying ladies.

The story is very moving and if there are no emotional veins in your body, if you watch it, it will surely resurface.
